Complete guide to using all BotWash features, from basic text transformation to advanced formula creation.

Transforming Text

Transform your text using a two-pane interface showing before and after side-by-side.

Basic Workflow

1. Paste your text - Copy and paste your AI-generated text into the input pane
2. Select a formula - Click "Select Formula" to browse available formulas
3. Preview operations - See what transformations will be applied
4. Run the wash - Click "Transform" to process your text
5. Review results - Compare before/after and check the Detailer's Report

Formula Selection

When selecting a formula, you can:

• Search - Find formulas by name or description
• Filter by tags - Narrow down by category (blog, email, marketing, etc.)
• Sort - By trending, newest, top rated, or alphabetically
• View favorites - Access your saved formulas quickly

Understanding Results

After transformation, you will see:

• Output text - The transformed result in the right pane
• Show Diff - Toggle to highlight changes with deletions in red and additions in green
• Detailer's Report - A breakdown showing what each operation changed
• Metrics - Before/after statistics like word count, sentence count, reading level

Formula Hub

The Formula Hub is your gateway to discovering and managing formulas.

Browsing Formulas

• Public formulas - Created and shared by the community
• Your formulas - Private formulas you have created
• Organization formulas - Shared within your team (available when you join an organization)
• BotWash Official - Curated formulas created by the BotWash team

Formula Details

Click any formula to see:

• Full description and use cases
• Complete list of operations
• Version history
• Example transformations
• Community ratings and reviews
• Publisher information

Actions

• Use - Apply the formula
• Remix - Create your own version by modifying operations
• Favorite - Save to your favorites for quick access
• Like - Show appreciation for useful formulas
• Share - Share formulas via direct link
• Report - Report inappropriate formulas to moderators

Community Moderation

BotWash maintains a safe, high-quality formula community through:

• Profanity filtering - Automatic detection of inappropriate content in formula titles and descriptions
• User reporting - Report formulas that violate community guidelines
• Content review - Our team reviews all reported formulas
• Quality ratings - Community voting helps surface the best formulas

Creating Formulas

Formula Builder

1. Add operations - Drag from the operation palette or use the + button
2. Configure parameters - Adjust settings for each operation
3. Reorder operations - Drag to change execution order
4. Test - Preview with sample text
5. Save - Save as draft or publish publicly

Formula Settings

• Title & Summary - Clear, descriptive information
• Tags - Help others discover your formula
• Visibility - Public, private, or organization-only
• Owner - Personal or organization

Versioning

Each time you publish changes to a formula, a new version is automatically created with a timestamp identifier. This ensures reproducible results when using specific formula versions.

History

View and manage your transformation history.

Features

• Search & filter - Find past runs by formula or date
• View details - See formula used, execution time, and metrics
• Export - Download runs as CSV

Organizations

The Organizations page is your central hub for both personal settings and team collaboration. All users can manage their personal workspace here, and you can also create organizations for collaborative formula development.

Personal Workspace

Every user has a personal workspace that functions like a virtual organization for managing your own content:

• Personal formulas - Organize your private formulas
• Profile settings - Update your profile picture and information
• API keys - Generate personal API keys

Team Organization Features

Create organizations for collaboration:

• Shared formulas - Create formulas visible to team members
• Member management - Invite users with different roles
• API keys - Generate keys for programmatic access
• Analytics - Team usage dashboard
• Audit trail - Track all changes and runs

Roles

• Owner - Full control, manage members and billing
• Editor - Create and edit organization formulas
• Viewer - Use organization formulas, read-only access

API Access

Access the BotWash API for programmatic transformations.

API Keys

1. Go to Organization Settings (or Profile for personal keys)
2. Navigate to API Keys
3. Click "Create API Key"
4. Set permissions and expiration
5. Copy the key (shown only once)

Authentication & Account

Sign In Methods

• Email magic link - Receive a secure one-time link via email
• Email + password - Traditional username/password authentication

Profile Settings
